Sécurité et confiance

Dernière mise à jour · July 2, 2026

Trust is what makes a marketplace work. Here's how Sefar helps keep guests and hosts safe — and how you can look out for yourself and your community.

1. Verified identities

Every host completes identity verification before they can publish a listing. Guests are asked to confirm their contact details. This makes it much harder for bad actors to hide.

2. Secure payments — always on Sefar

Pay and get paid only through Sefar. Our payment partners handle your card and bank details securely, and keeping transactions on-platform means you're covered by our policies.

Never send money by cash, transfer, or link outside the app. If someone asks you to, report it — it's the most common sign of a scam.

3. Honest reviews

Reviews come only from real, completed stays, so ratings reflect genuine experiences. Read them before you book, and leave your own to help the next traveller.

4. Community standards

We expect everyone to be respectful, safe, and reliable. Discrimination, harassment, and unsafe listings are not allowed, and we act on reports — including removing users who break the rules.

5. Staying safe as a guest

Read the full listing, house rules, and reviews. Keep messages and payments on Sefar. Share your trip details with someone you trust, and note the location of exits and any safety equipment when you arrive.

6. Staying safe as a host

Set clear house rules and expectations. Provide a smoke detector and basic safety information. Communicate through Sefar so there's a record, and report any guest behaviour that concerns you.

7. Reporting and support

If something doesn't feel right, contact our support team — we're available around the clock. In an emergency, always contact local authorities first, then let us know so we can help.
